Forward deployed engineers spend their days inside other people’s systems. It’s valuable work, it’s rarely written down, and it’s easy to do alone. FDE Amsterdam is where the people doing it here meet.

WebfuseAmsterdam

FDE Amsterdam was started by Webfuse, an Amsterdam company. Webfuse builds the layer that lets AI agents and people work on live web apps they don’t own, growing out of years of session technology at Surfly.

That puts us in the same spot as many forward deployed engineers: making software work on someone else’s system, for someone else’s users. We wanted a room where people doing that work can compare notes, so we started one.

Webfuse funds and hosts it. The evenings are for the community, not a sales pitch.

Every day our sync reads public event listings for the Amsterdam region, scores them for relevance to people who build and deploy software, and lists the ones that pass. Each listing shows an excerpt and links to the organiser’s page, where registration happens. A person reviews the list and can feature, re-tag or hide events.

Organisers: to add, correct or remove an event, email hello@fde.amsterdam and we’ll sort it the same day.
